Straw it up!

Drinking through a straw will help you drink more water (according to studies of Becky!) and so I use one myself, and make my kids use them everyday. At my house we all have those plastic drinking cups with the straws that my kids love and we are all filling them up over and over and drinking more water than we normally would. I have made a rule with my kids that those are water cups only! I cannot stand trying to clean those cups out when there is curdled milk in them from the night before, plus this encourages water drinking since they like those cups so much. For other types of drinks we have a lot of plastic straws that they can use and then throw away.

Water helps prevent migraines, improves kidney function, helps with bowel movements and boosts your immunity. I challenge you to buy one of those cups, fill it with ice water and then drink away. I think you will be surprised at how much more water you will drink a day. Happy drinking!!
